CD-Quality Streaming Due

OSLO, NORWAY – Aspiro Group, which operates Europe’s CD-quality WiMP HiFi music service, will bring its CD-quality streaming to the U.S. with the launch of the Tidal service in the fall.

The service will be available through computers as well as through home audio products from 16 brands. They are Sonos, Denon Heos, Harman Omni, Bluesound and NAD, Meridian, Auralic, Electrocompaniet, Simple Audio, Raumfeld, Dynaudio, Audiovector, Project, Airable by Tune In Media, HiFiAkademie and IckStream.

Denon Adds Portable DAC/AMP

MAHWAH, N.J. – Denon launched its first portable headphone amplifier/USB DAC following the launch earlier this year of its first home USB DAC.

The portable model is the $399-suggested DA-10 with native playback of highresolution audio files up to 24 bit/192kHz PCM, native playback of 2.8 and 5.6MHz DSD files, and DSD playback via DoP (DSD audio over PCM frames).

Denon Gets Under TVs

MAHWAH, N.J. – Denon shipped its first under-TV speaker, a $349-suggested model that fits under most TVs up to 50 inches in screen size and supports TVs weighing up to 60 pounds. Key features include optical and coaxial digital inputs, Dolby Digital decoding, and Denon Virtual Surround technology. It also features stereo Bluetooth streaming with AptX.

Klipsch Expands Subs

INDIANAPOLIS — Klipsch expanded its Reference subwoofer line to five SKUs with the addition of three models that feature new driver technology and add wireless capability.

The new subs are the $549 R-110SW, $649 R-112SW, and $899 R-115SW. They join the $449 R-12SW and $349 R-10SW is $349.

SVS Broadens Selection
