Dallas – AT&T has begun discounting the price of smartphones and tablets to consumers who sign up for the company’s home security and automation service at one of the almost 600 AT&T Wireless stores that sell the service.
The service, called AT&T Digital Life, is currently available in 22 markets, and the company plans availability in up to 50 markets by year’s end.
The service provides remote monitoring and control of a home’s systems through PCs, tablets and smartphone. Homeowners are able to remotely control thermostats, lights, door locks, video cameras and the like.
The service features professionally installed wireless Wi-Fi and Z-Wave devices, including security cameras, window/door sensors, motion and glass-break sensors, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, thermostats, moisture detectors and appliance power controls.
