Apple wants to take a page from Netflix and create its own content, according to a report from Variety.
Dan Frommer reports that the CE giant has been in talks with Hollywood execs to gauge interest in a partnership for original content. As Frommer notes, this isn’t the first time these intentions have been knocked around.
Apple is certainly no stranger to new frontiers. When it launched its Beats Music music-streaming service, it attempted to stand out from the competition by bundling in original radio programs via its Beats1 service, and it’s conceivable it could undergo a similar effort with this venture.
