Apple may be readying wireless ear buds known as AirPods if the trademark sleuthing done by MacRumors is accurate.
According to the site, trademark filing that’s consistent with past Apple strategy indicates it has filed a patent for what could be wireless ear buds. The pattern is so consistent that MacRumors definitely believes Apple is responsible for them.
If accurate, the patent raises questions as to why Apple would go to lengths to create its own branded ear buds when it owns Beats, the No. 1 headphones brand that manufactures its own wireless headphones.
