Seattle — Amazon Cloud Drive on the Amazon Instant Video app is now available through the PlayStation 3 and 4, as well as select LG and Samsung smart TVs, the online retailer revealed Wednesday.
The company said the feature, which brings users access to personal photos and videos stored in the Cloud, adds to the library of movies and TV shows for purchase, as well as movies and TV shows for Prime members with Prime Instant Video.
Amazon Cloud Drive is already accessible on the web, iOS and Android devices, Fire TV, Fire Phone and Fire tablets.
“We know our customers move from device to device throughout the day and crave choice in how they view entertainment and personal content,” stated Michael Paull, Amazon digital video VP. “We expanded the Amazon Instant Video app to include Amazon Cloud Drive to make it easy for our customers to access their personal memories right alongside their favorite movies and TV shows in Prime Instant Video. We are excited to have Cloud Drive integrated with the Amazon Instant Video app on PlayStation, LG and Samsung, and are looking forward to delivering this feature to even more devices in the future.”
Existing Amazon Cloud Drive account customers who use the Amazon Instant Video app can navigate to a photos area within the app to connect with Cloud Drive, the company said.
