Almo Targets Virtual Stores With New Division

Almo Corporation, the 53-year-old CE, majaps and high-end kitchen distributor, has created a dedicated division to service e-commerce companies.

“This is the natural extension of what we do day-in and day-out,” said division head Michael O’Hara. “We’ve worked with a number of catalog and fulfillment companies for many years, but the establishment of this unit formalized the channel for us.”

O’Hara said his Philadelphia-based division can offer virtual stores a full array of product lines, logistical coverage from six warehouses located on the East Coast and in the Midwest, plus such services as EDI transmission, customized labels, rebate insertions, various shipping options and exclusive product promotions.
