John Malone Suggests Cable Company Three-Way With T-Mobile

Liberty Media chairman John Malone said a laissez-faire Trump Administration could clear the way for cable companies to enter the wireless business directly, and proposed a scenario in which he, Comcast and Charter "get together and buy T-Mobile." Rather than partner with the carrier as an MVNO, an aquistion would box out T-Mo CEO John Legere, who said at CES 2017 that he would never agree to an MVNO deal with a cable company.
