Apple Intros Interactive Smart-Home Displays In 31 Stores

Customers at 31 U.S. Apple stores (and 15 more overseas) can now experience what it’s like to turn on lights, lower shades and control ceiling fans by telling or tapping the company’s phones, tablets and watches, albeit virtually. The new Apple HomeKit sections employ interactive window displays called “The Avenue,” which debuted at the San Francisco Union Square last year.

“Unless you’ve had a chance to try some Apple HomeKit products in someone’s home or apartment, it can be hard to understand how it all works. In order to help with that, Apple has unveiled interactive HomeKit experiences in 46 of its retail stores worldwide.”
