Anaheim, Calif. - Zyxel Communications, a provider of broadband networking, Internet connectivity and routing products, recently introduced the Aerobeam by Zyxel WirelessHD kit.

adapter lets users wirelessly connect up to four devices to their HDTV to
stream digital content, eliminating the need to anchor components adjacent to
the screen, the company said. The components can instead be placed anywhere in

The device reportedly works with all HDMI devices, including Blu-ray players, DVD players, game consoles, smartphones and tablets. Capabilities include full 1080p video playback, 3D playback and 7.1 surround-sound audio.
It uses 60GHz millimeter wave technology, said to eliminate interference from other wireless technologies, and it also incorporates Silicon Image's WirelessHD technology to deliver uncompressed and lossless HD digital video, audio and data.
The WHD6215 is the first in a line of consumer A/V products that will be marketed under Aerobeam by Zyxel, the company said.
