York Management Services has agreed to acquire accessories supplier Gemini Industries of Clifton, N.J., from Merrill Lynch Capital Partners. The price has not been disclosed.
John Barrett has been named CEO at Gemini, replacing George Nebel, and Michael O'Neal has come on board as COO. Sales and marketing VP Mike Schwartz has left the company.
In addition to the Gemini brand, the company markets products under the AT&T, Magnavox and Southwestern Bell brands.
Gemini suppliers were notified of the transaction in a letter signed by Barrett, O'Neal and Harry Pila, who continues as purchasing VP. "Thank you for your ongoing support of Gemini. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship," the letter said.
The company declined to comment on the change or to provide additional information after repeated calls by TWICE.
