Yamaha Adds Separate Components To Aventage Series

Buena Park, Calif. – Yamaha is expanding its step-up Aventage series of A/V receivers and Blu-ray players to include separate components.

The Aventage series, launched in 2010, now gets the CX-A5000 11.2- channel A/V preamplifier and MX-A5000 11-channel power amplifier. They will be available at a suggested $2,999 each in August through authorized Aventage dealers.

The preamp features dual ESS Technology SABRE32 Ultra DACs for “extremely accurate sound imaging,” Yamaha’s proprietary Cinema DSP HD3 technology to create a 360-degree sound field when using front and rear presence speakers, and a dedicated second-zone graphical user interface to control the selection and playback of HD video and audio sources in a second zone via the company’s Advanced HDMI Zone Switching feature.
