Nicovr, a Shanghai-based technology start-up, has launched what it is calling “the world’s smallest consumer 360-degree camera.”
The Nico360 VR camera is a cube that measures less than 2 by 2 inches and weighs in at less than 4 ounces yet delivers 1440p WQHD live VR video streaming with image stabilization. It streams video and 32-megapixel still photos using onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
The camera is designed to be strapped to a wrist, bike, car dashboard or helmet. The Nico360 is completely waterproof and features Adobe RAW/DNG output for those who want to edit still photos in Photoshop. It has 32GB of internal storage and a MicroSD slot for extra storage.
A limited number of cameras are available on Indiegogo at $99 for the Super Early Bird special. Once those are gone, the price will go up to $119, with final retail pricing at $149.
A free Nico360 iOS and Android app is available to instantly share videos and photos.
