Westinghouse Adds 42"1080p Edge-Lit LED TV

Orange, Calif. – Westinghouse Digital recently introduced a
42-inch model in its high-value 1080p 55 series.

Model LD-4255, which will ship in mid-September at a $749
suggested retail, is another of the company’s series of 1080p LCD TV with LED
edge-lighting technology.

Cosmetics feature a high-gloss black frame with understated red
accents.

Using the LED lighting technology,

Westinghouse Digital

has kept
panel thickness to just 1.25 inches at the TV’s visible edges.

The set also features 120Hz motion-processing technology.

Inputs include two HDMI ports, one composite and one
VGA/component video input set.

“We’re very excited about the arrival of the LD-4255.  The brand new 42-inch 1080p combines the
latest LED technologies with an attractive design and remarkable energy
efficiency,” said Rey Roque, Westinghouse Digital marketing VP. “The set’s high
contrast ratios and quick refresh rate make the LD-4255 a great choice for the
consumer looking to get a true home-theater experience.”

The LED system also enabled Westinghouse Digital to improve the
unit’s energy efficiency. Power consumption is said to exceed Energy Star 5.0
ratings, which are slated to go into effect in 2012.

The LD-4255 only consumes about 80 watts of power, which is 30
percent lower than today’s most stringent Energy Star requirement.

Product packaging is also made of recycled materials and uses
environmentally friendly soy-based ink.
