Lake Forest, Calif. – Western Digital today named Tim Leyden COO
and Wolfgang Nickl to the post of senior VP and chief financial officer.
Both will report directly to John Coyne, Western Digital’s
president and CEO.
Leyden, a 20-year WD veteran, previously held the position of
executive VP and chief financial officer. As COO, he will oversee the company’s
sales, business unit, marketing, operations, engineering and materials groups.
Nickl will take over from Leyden as CFO. Nickl joined WD in 1995
and has held several leadership positions within the company.
“These new roles reflect the excellence, depth, passion and
experience of the WD leadership team,” said Coyne. “We are pleased to have
developed such strong talent at WD as we continue our mission to grow the
business profitably and address multiple new markets.”
