 Irvine, Calif. –

Western Digital

introduced Thursday
an updated version of its WD TV Live, set-top media streamer which now adds
built-in Wi-Fi capability.

The WD TV Live and WD TV Live Hub media players will also now
include the Spotify music service, the company announced.

WD TV Live adds an intuitive user interface that quickly presents
links to a growing range of Internet entertainment service partners, including
Netflix, HuluPlus, YouTube, Blockbuster on Demand, CinemaNow, Pandora and
others.

With the new addition of built-in Wi-Fi, the compact set-top box
can connect the Internet via a wired Ethernet connection or now wirelessly via
802.11n capable of FullHD 1080p video resolution.

In addition to streaming movies and videos, the WD TV Live allows
users to enjoy personal media including photos, video and music on their home

content from any connected USB drive, digital camcorder or camera, network
drive such as the My Book Live personal Cloud storage, and any networked PC or
Mac computer in the home.

The WD TV Live and WD TV Live Hub (with built-in hard drive
storage) now add Spotify’s premium music service. Subscribers can now enjoy
unlimited on-demand access to a catalog of more than 15 million songs in up to
320kbps fidelity on their home entertainment system.

Spotify’s features include the ability to create and manage
Spotify playlists, share songs with Spotify friends, and see and subscribe to
friends’ playlists via their Spotify profiles. Users can also share tracks by
sending songs directly to other Spotify users’ inboxes.

“WD is committed to providing our customers with a premium
entertainment experience that includes seamless streaming of personal media and
the best of the Internet directly to the highest quality screen and sound
system in the home,” stated Jim Welsh, WD brand products and CE group executive

TV Live with quality content from service providers, including a first of its

WD TV Live and WD TV Live Hub will also now include the
Dailymotion video service, offering video content from users, independent
content creators and premium partners.
