Walmart Dads-And-Grads Specials Begin Sunday

Bentonville, Ark. – Walmart will
roll out price promotions on select consumer electronics products and bundles for
Father’s Day and graduation beginning this Sunday.

The price cuts, offered either in
stores or online, will span PCs, smartphones, video, gaming and digital
imaging.

PC promotions include a $75
savings on a 15.6-inch Compaq Presario CQ62 laptop, at $398. The model
features a dual-core processor, 3GB of memory, a 250GB hard drive, a 6-cell
battery and the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

Beginning at the same price,
Walmart.com is offering customizable PC bundles that include a Dell, Acer or HP
notebook; a case; a 4GB flash drive; and a multi-function printer.

Stores will also offer a
Hewlett-Packard Photosmart wireless all-in-one printer, scanner and copier for
$99, and a

$20 discount on
Seagate’s FreeAgent Go Portable 500GB hard drive, to $79 at select stores.

Smartphone discounts will begin
tomorrow and include T-Mobile’s HTC HD2, Verizon’s Motorola Droid and Sprint’s
Samsung Moment, each for  $48.88; and AT&T’s
Samsung Impression and Verizon’s Motorola Devour, each for $20.

In video, Walmart.com will offer
a Philips 47-inch 1080p LCD for $749, a $100 savings, while stores will carry
an IP-capable Sony Blu-ray Disc player (Ethernet only)  for $158. Discounts will also be offered on a host of BD
titles.

In gaming, Walmart will offer an
Xbox 360 bundle, replete with wireless controller, two games and a $50 gift
card for $199. The console has 256MB of storage and comes with a composite
cable and 30-day Xbox Live gold membership.

Digital imaging discounts will
include a $20 price cut on the 10-megapixel Canon Powershot SC120 IS digital
camera with 10x optical zoom, to $179.
