Wadia, Qsonix Enter Sales, Tech Alliance

Newbury Park, Calif. – High-end component-audio supplier

Wadia

Digital and multi-room music-server company

Qsonix

have entered into a
technology and sales alliance.

Under the agreement, Wadia will handle day-to-day sales
management, order logistics and support for Qsonix globally. In addition, Wadia
technologies will be incorporated into new generations of Qsonix
music-management/server systems to bolster their audio performance.

Although Wadia will take over sales responsibilities, Qsonix
“will work closely with Wadia to implement new sales, marketing and training
programs,” Qsonix said. Qsonix will continue to manufacture and ship products
and provide technical support from its Newbury Park offices.

Qsonix president Mike Weaver said the alliance will stimulate
brand visibility, sales growth and new product development, and Qsonix CEO
Oscar Ciornei said the alliance will let Qsonix focus on its core expertise of
software development while relying on Wadia for its expertise in developing
high-performance audio hardware.

Ciornei, described as instrumental in forging the alliance, will
step down as Qsonix CEO, effective June 30, to return to his OAC Group, a
management, marketing and design firm in the consumer electronics, pro audio
and music industries. He will remain a Qsonix adviser.
