Beaverton, Ore. – VTech Communications announced its DS6321-3 cordless
phone system is now available.

The
company is calling it the first cordless phone system capable of downloading
cellular phonebook entries using Bluetooth technology. This allows users to
make and receive cellular and landline calls with a cordless handset.

Up to four
Bluetooth can be registered on the DS6321-3, the company said, and two cellular
phones can be connected to the DS6321-3 at one time. It’s designed to operate
as a virtual two-line system, enabling users to be on a landline call with one
handset while using another handset simultaneously to make a cellular call.

The system
also features DECT 6.0 technology. Three handsets are included, with
expandability up to 12 handsets possible. Other features include the ability to
transfer calls between handsets, an LCD with blue backlighting, a digital
answering system with up to 14 minutes of recording time, caller ID, call
waiting, and the ability to download up to 6,000 phonebook entries.

Suggested
retail is $99.99 for the three-handset system. It’s currently available from
VTech’s Web site and will be available at BJ’s and Best Buy in October, VTech
said.
