
New York – Vizio unveiled this week an 80-inch Razor LED Smart TV with Theater 3D (passive-glasses) capability.
The behemoth FullHD 1080p edge-lit LCD TV (model M801d) is part of the company’s well-featured M-Series and will carry a $4,000 suggested retail.
The set will incorporate an updated and expanded built-in smart TV platform, called Vizio Internet Apps Plus.
Smart TV system improvements include rapid setup and a full collection of the most popular apps such as: Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, M-GO, Vudu, HuluPlus, YouTube, Pandora and Facebook.
The TV includes built-in Wi-Fi in addition to offering an Ethernet port for a wired broadband connection.
Other attributes of the 80-inch set are an ultra-modern, ultra-thin bezel design, passive-glasses based 3D capability, a 240Hz refresh rate for smooth motion images, LED edge lighting with “Smart Dimming” technology, and a backlit smart remote with Wi-Fi and Universal remote features (begin in the summer).
The Vizio M801d will be sold through the company’s leading national retail partners including: Best Buy, Costco, Amazon, Sam’s Club and Walmart.
