Irvine, Calif. — Vizio today launched its spring PC line, which includes four ultra thin laptops and three all-in-one PCs.
All seven models feature 10-point touch screen displays which Vizio said will help consumers take full advantage of the touch functionality built into Windows 8.
The four Touch Thin + Light laptops are the CT14T-B0, CT14T-B1, CT15T-B1 and the CT15T-B1. All are available for pre-order on www.vizio.com.
The first two models feature 14-inch touch displays with the B0 model being powered by an AMD A10 APU and the latter an Intel Core i7 processor. The AMD version comes with 8GB of memory and a 128GB solid state drive for storage. The Intel model has 256GB of storage. Both feature SRS Premium Sound, 1.3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, two USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI port.
The CT14T-B0 and CT14T-B1 carry suggested retail prices of $1,089 and $1,419 respectively. These will go on sale shortly, the company said.
The CT15T-B0 and CT15T-B1 are each centered on a 15.6-inch touchscreen. These have the same processors, memory and storage and other features as the smaller models. Pricing is $1,189 and $1,469, respectively. The CT15T-B0 can be pre-ordered on vizio.com and the CT15T-B1 is now available a microsoftstore.com.
The three all-in-one PCs are the 24-inch CA24T-B0, CA24TB1 and the 27-inch CA27T-B1. All three are bundles with a wireless keyboard, separate touchpad and an IR remote.
All three have the same processors as the laptops with the CA24T-B0 being equipped with the AMD chip. This model also has 8GB of memory, a 1TB hard drive, Radeon HD 8750A graphics, SRS Premium Surround, SD card reader, four USB 3.0 ports, eSATA port, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HDMI.
The Intel models add a 32B SSD cache to their 1TB hard drive, otherwise the feature set is the same as the AMD model.
The CA24T-B0, CA24TB1 and the CA27T-B1 have respective suggested retail prices of $1,279, $1,439 and $1,549. The CA24T-B1 and the CA27T-B1 are available or preorder on vizio.com and for sale now on Microsoftstore.com.
