Vizio Readies Trio Of New Soundbars

Irvine, Calif. – Vizio is adding three more soundbars to its 2013 soundbar selection with the launch of new models priced at a suggested $79 to $119, all with built-in Bluetooth.

The three models will join two models shipped earlier this year with Bluetooth at a suggested $249 and $329. All are wall-mountable.

The new models are the $79 S2920w, available in September, and the $119 S3820w and $179 S3821w, both of which will be available in mid August. The $79 model is seized for 32-inch TVs, and the other two are sized for 42-inch TVs. The two step-up models that are currently shipping are designed for 47-inch TVs.

Among the three new models, all but the $79 model feature Dolby Digital decoding. All three feature DTS TruVolume, DTS TruSurround technology, optical and coaxial digital inputs, and analog RCA input. The $179 model adds an outboard 6-inch subwoofer, which is wireless.

The opening price model delivers 95dB SPL and 90Hz bass response.  The next model up raises output to 98dB and deepens bass response to 65Hz. The $179 model delivers 100dB SPL and 50Hz bass response.

All of the soundbars share a design inspired by Vizio’s near-borderless M-Series Razor LED smart TVs.

Vizio’s top-end $329 S4251w is a 5.1 system that comes with wireless surround speakers and wireless subwoofer.

To promote the new models, Vizio is using its online social community, Vizio Fandemonium, to give its fans exclusive access to a custom Pandora station and a chance to win a DTS-equipped sound bar.
