Virgin Expands LTE Phone Selection

Warren, N.J. – Virgin Mobile, the no-contract wireless provider, expanded its 4G LTE smartphone selection to five models with the launch of the ZTE-made Supreme, which becomes the largest screen smartphone in the provider’s selection.

 The Android 4.1.2 phone, priced at $299, features a 5-inch 1,280 by 720 IPS touchscreen, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, removable 2,500 mAh lithium-ion battery providing 15 hours of talk time, 13-megapixel 1080p camera/camcorder, and included “Real Racing 3” game from EA Mobile.

  The phone is available direct from Virgin’s website and joins 14 other smartphones, four of which are 4G LTE models. The LTE models include the 4G iPhone 5 priced at $549, $649 and $749 depending on embedded memory.

Earlier this week, Virgin launched another ZTE smartphone, the Android-based 3G Awe at $99. It is available on Virgin’s website and select retail locations such as Walmart and Target. Other 3G smartphones are priced at $49, $59, $79, $149, $199 and $249.
