Warren, N.J. – No-contract service provider Virgin Mobile USA has begun offering its latest low-price Android smartphone, the 3G Awe from ZTE at $99.
It joins a selection of 14 smartphones, four of which are 4G LTE models. The rest are 3G models.
Virgin’s other smartphones are priced from $49 to $549 for the 16GB LTE-equipped iPhone 5. Select 3G smartphones are priced at $49, $59, $79, $149, $199, and $249.
The AWE features Android 4.1 OS, 4-inch IPS 800×480 capacitive touchscreen, 1.2GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera with 720p video capture, and 1-megapixel front camera.
Virgin sells through its web site and select local and national retailers.
