Bedminster, N.J. – Verizon Wireless will ship the Motorola-made Droid Razr HD and Droid Razr Maxx HD on Oct. 18, for prices of $199 and $299, respectively.
On Sept. 5, the carrier began offering the Motorola-made Droid M with 4.3-inch display at an introductory price of $99 after $50 mail-in rebate.
All three phones feature 4G LTE, Android 4.0 (upgradable to 4.1 by year’s end), 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, mobile hot spot to share a 4G connection with up to eight Wi-Fi devices, and 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and 1080p HD recording.
Other features include front-facing camera for video chatting, a MicroSD slot capable of supporting up to 32GB cards, Corning Gorilla Glass from DuPont, DuPont Kevlar-fiber backplate, splash-guard nano coating, Chrome for Android, YouTube, Google Play, Voice Actions for Android and Google Maps.
They also feature near-field communications (NFC)-enabled so customers can use Android Beam to share contacts, documents and maps directly to compatible phones, and they are said to be enterprise-ready with support for VPNs and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
All three are global-ready for use in more than 205 countries, and they offer 4G HSPA+21 data outside the U.S.
The Razr M features qHD 4.3-inch display and 8GB memory. The Razr HD features 4.7-inch HD display and 16 GB internal storage. The Razr Maxx HD offers the same features as the Razr HD but adds 32GB memory and a battery that allows for up to 32 hours of “normal use.”
All three are available in black and white.
The Droid series is exclusive to Verizon.
