Basking Ridge, N.J. — Verizon Wireless expanded its 4G LTE tablet section for the second consecutive day, this time adding the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro with 12.2-inch screen.

Yesterday, the company began offering LTE-equipped version of LG’s G Pad 8.3 tablet.

The additions expand the carrier’s LTE tablet selection to 11 models, excluding used models. Both new models are available through Verizon stores and indirect channels.

The Galaxy Note Pro is available at $849 without activation and $749 when purchased with new two-year activation. Customers can add the tablet to a More Everything plan for $10/ month.

Verizon is the first to offer the 4G version of the Android 4.4 tablet, which Samsung also offers in a Wi-Fi-only version.

The tablet and Samsung’s other new 12.2-inch tablet, the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, are billed as the world’s first 12.2-inch tablets with widescreen 16:10 aspect ratios and first 12.2-inch tablets with 2,560 by 1,600 WQXGA displays.

The Note Pro 12.2 adds Samsung’s S Pen stylus and other Note features such as handwriting-to-text conversion.

The LTE-equipped Note Pro 12.2 features 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 32GB embedded memory, 64GB MicroSD card slot, 3GB RAM, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI output, MicroUSB enabled with Mobile High-definition Link (MHL) and a 9,500 mAh battery.

It also has Multi Window feature to view up to four applications simultaneously for improved multitasking. This feature enables drag and drop for cutting and pasting between apps.

The 12.2-inch models also have 64GB MicroSD card slot, 8-megapixel main camera with flash and 4x digital zoom, and 2-megapixel front camera with flash. The cameras deliver zero shutter lag, the company said.

The carrier’s current LTE tablet lineup consists of the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, LG G Pad 8.3 tablet, Nexus 7, Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Galaxy Note 10.1, Nokia Lumia 2520, Verizon Ellipsis 7, iPad Air, iPad Mini and iPad Mini with Retina Display.
