Charlotte, N.C. — Verbatim announced today that it would offer new the new FlashDisc USB flash drive, which M-Systems debuted last week.
The FlashDisc is a low-capacity USB flash drive positioned as a “floppy disc replacement” because, M-Systems said, its durability and low cost will make users more willing to use the drives like floppies and not higher-cost USB flash drives.
Verbatim will offer a three-pack of 16MB drives for a suggested $19.99 in April.
