Las Vegas – Variety and Deloitte are holding
a panel during panel during International CES called “Understanding the
Connected Consumer.”
The panel, to be held Friday, Jan. 8 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in
Room SV222 at the Las Vegas
Convention Center, will
feature up to five top level executives from, TV, home entertainment and mobile
industries.
Confirmed panelists include: David Bishop, president/worldwide,
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, and George Linardos, media VP at Nokia. The
panel will be moderated by Ed Moran of Deloitte.
The panel will discuss digitization and changing consumer
preferences continue to transform the media and entertainment industry, Variety
said.
Among the topics to be discussed will be:

generational preferences for traditional and emerging media
devices and platforms;
- the evolving adoption of mobile devices, social networking and
interactive gaming;

reactions to, and interactions with, conventional and
next-generation advertising; and

emerging consumer preferences, and the implications for
advertisers, content companies, distributors, developers and device
manufacturers;
Deloitte has timed this panel discussion for the release of the
fourth-edition “State of the Media Democracy” survey. It reveals consumer
behaviors across the generations and what their future media preferences are
likely to be.
