Yoshi Uchiyama, a Toshiba America Consumer Products veteran who was most recently DAV group marketing and planning senior VP, has been named sales and marketing senior VP, overseeing sales and marketing for both the TV and digital AV (DAV) group businesses in the United States ... Bill Clark, sales senior VP for Almo's dealer division, has retired and has been replaced by Jack Halperin, who joins Almo from New York metro-based retailer P.C. Richard & Son. Previously he spent 23 years with Sony Electronics in various sales and executive positions. Clark will continue with Almo as a consultant through the end of 2009. Also Rachael Tracey, purchasing assistant to Almo's appliance product management department, has been named major appliance buyer. She will be responsible for all Frigidaire appliance purchasing activities in the U.S. for Almo ... Stampede, the home-theater and presentation products distributor, has added seven ex-Electrograph execs to its ranks: three in the Midwest, three in the West and one in the South. Chip Owen, ex-GM of Electrograph's Columbus, Ohio office, will continue in that role, and Sean Blair and Christina Rebich will continue as account managers. The three employees for the West are Susana Wu, ex-national accounts manager at Electrograph, joins Stampede as a senior relationship manager. Jose Garcia and Jonathan Martin, both from the state of Washington, join Stampede as relationship managers. Diane Perez of Portland, Ore., ex-credit/collections supervisor at Electrograph, is Stampede's newest credit manager. In the South Don Dekker, former Electrograph sales rep based in Tampa, Fla., will be a senior relationship manager for Stampede ... Joe Saraceno, a 20-year Harman Consumer Group veteran who was most recently Eastern sales director, joins Jam Industries as national sales manager for its Erikson Consumer mobile division in the U.S. and South America ... Scott Wheway, a veteran European retail exec who joined Best Buy International as COO in May, has been named CEO of Best Buy Europe. He assumes responsibility for all Best Buy Europe operations, including The Carphone Warehouse's 2,450 stores across nine European markets, its online and direct businesses, insurance operations and “big-box” Best Buy stores that are planned in Europe and due to open in the U.K., beginning next year ... Jim McGall has joined high-end LCD TV supplier NuVision as business development VP ... Premier Mounts has named Lee Dodson president. Dodson joins the company from Extron Electronics.
