Tripp Lite Offers New Flagship Power Component

INDIANAPOLIS — Tripp Lite debuted a new flagship power component that combines voltage regulation, surge protection and extended battery power at this month’s CEDIA Expo.

The new SMART1000LCD Line-Interactive Digital UPS System offers power and backup support for PCs, network workstations, home entertainment systems and media centers.

The 1,000VA/500W device prevents data loss, viewing interruptions, lost recordings and loss of component programming during power failures. Internal UPS circuits support entrylevel PCs for up to 60 minutes or individual VCR/DVR components for as long as three hours without power.

Automatic voltage regulation circuits regulate brownouts as low as 89 volts back to usable levels without using battery power, the company said.

The SMART1000LCD includes four battery- supported outlets, plus four surge suppression- only outlets for items not requiring battery support, in space saving right-angle 5-15P input plugs.

An HID-compliant USB port and included USB cable enables optional unattended system shutdown without data loss in the case of extended power failure with enables full integration of the built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows and Mac OS X.

PowerAlert software is available via free download from Tripplite.com.

A full-load efficiency rating of 98 percent offers energy savings and cool operating temperatures, the company said.

Built-in single-line RJ-11 phone suppression jacks protect modem, satellite receivers or other peripherals with a standard dial-up/ DSL phone connection, and a set of 2.2GHz coaxial jacks protect against surges entering on cable TV, satellite or broadcast antenna connections.
