Trident Expands Heavy-Duty Cases To Medical, Fashion Spaces

LAS VEGAS — Trident Case is at International CES to show a bolstered line of its heavy-duty protective device cases.

The company is unveiling a broad new range of cases in its Kraken AMS, Cyclops, Aegis and Apollo series along with the first models of its new Medical Series and Industrial Series.

Trident is also announcing new custom printing options for Aegis cases.

In addition, Trident will be unveiling a line of cases that reflect the design styles of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, an American professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, wrestler and actor, and former UFC light heavyweight champion and PRIDE middleweight champion.

The Rampage Edition products will be introduced as part of the new Kraken AMS line.

Jackson will make an appearance at the Trident Case booth on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Trident marketing VP Erin Luzzi said the new cases are 10 to 30 percent slimmer than previous offerings, and feature large scratch-resistant printfriendly surfaces and new ergonomics. “And we’re doing this while meeting a military standard for performance in most cases,” she added.

The new medical and industrial-grade tablet cases feature the same polycarbonate and thermoplastic elastomer commonly used in medical equipment and hospitals, Luzzi said.

Trident is also introducing several case models through a partnership with Today I Can Do Anything (TICDA), the motivational apparel designer. Several Trident series will include models with designs that include TICDA’s logo and inspirational messages.

Trident’s new flagship line of Kraken AMS cases for the iPhone 5/5s has been upgraded with an added layer of dual-injected thermoplastic elastomer interior cushioning that makes the new series 20 percent thinner than the models it replaces.

The new Kraken cases come in black, red, pink, blue and Trident Green and include a new holster that is compatible with all of the new Trident Kraken, Cyclops and Aegis Series cases. The holster mounts on the front of the device and can attach to a belt, bag strap or seatbelt. It features EVA foam to provide cushioning and includes a 360-degree ratcheting swivel clip, a media stand for landscape viewing, and a slot that allows for device charging while holstered.

The Kraken cases includes a rear AMS attachment port that is compatible with more than two dozen custom-fitting accessories and mounts, such as a tripod attachment, belt clip, bike rail strap and a variety of car mounts.

The new Aegis series for iPhone 5/5s was inspired by armored vehicles, the company said, and is composed of polycarbonate and silicone. Each Aegis case comes with a self-applicable screen protector.

Also available for the iPhone 5/5s, the newest series of Cyclops cases offers Trident’s highest level of device protection. Cushioned inside and out, the Cyclops case is constructed with polycarbonate and thermoplastic elastomer.

Cyclops cases feature a built-in screen protector, dust filters and silicone plugs over port openings. The Cyclops is the company’s thinnest case to meet military standards.

All Trident cases are bio-enhancedplastic based products that are degradable, compostable and recyclable. The company recently announced plans to locate up to 75 percent of its product manufacturing in San Bernardino County, Calif., by the end of 2014.

Trident is in booth 4812.
