Avenel, N.J. - Mizco International debuted new Travelocity-branded CE products stemming from their relationship with the travel website.
The latest products include a line of gnome-themed headphones, based on Travelocity's ubiquitous mascot, as well as charging kits and a travel bag for CE devices.
The Travel Comfort buds come in four versions -- the original Roaming Gnome, Swimmer Gnome, Saxophone Gnome and a Travel for Good Gnome -- for $9.99. Features include the company's comfort fit technology, a clip fastener and a cord manager.
David Strumeier, sales and marketing executive VP of Travelocity accessories at Mizco International, told TWICE that the line is really targeted to "anyone who travels" and noted that they have products for all ages.
"When we come out with a new item, we try to attack all the different consumers and the demographics within the consumers," he said.
The team is also introducing a line of travel charging kits for both the iPhone and mini and micro USB users. The Travelocity Tech Travel Kit ($29.99) and Travelocity International Tech Travel Kit ($39.99) each come in two versions: one for the Apple iPod and iPhone, and one for all other mini USB and micro USB devices.
The kits come with wall chargers, car chargers and device-appropriate cables. The International version adds three international outlet converters.
Each kit comes with the Travel Tech Case, a nylon, fleece-lined case meant for small tech accessories. Strumeier told TWICE that a larger version meant for iPads and e-readers is in the works.
The Travelocity-branded products from Mizco can currently be found in several major retailers, including Sears, Ritz Camera, Walgreens and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Strumeier said they are pursuing airport retailers and duty-free shops as well.
