Toys‘R’Us Updates Tabeo Tablet

Wayne, N.J. — Toys“R”Us officially unveiled the second-generation Tabeo kids tablet, known as the Tabeo E2.

The 8-inch tablet comes preloaded with 30 apps, and more can be purchased at the Tabeo App store. Suggested retail is $149. 

Tech specs for the device include Android 4.2 operating system, dual-core 1GHz processor, quad-core GPU, 1,024 by 768 resolution, 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage (expandable up to 64GB), built-in Bluetooth, MiniHDMI, 0.3-megapixel front camera and 2-megapixed back camera, Wi-Fi and a microphone.  

Its battery time is listed at five hours of continuous video usage.

As is common with other kid tablets, there are customizable parental controls, including time limits and website blacklisting.

A line of accessories — headphones, cables, bumpers and speakers — will accompany the tablet when it becomes available in October.
