Irvine, Calif. – Toshiba today introduced new solid-state drives
with a 256GB capacity.
The Blade X-gale SSD storage line uses a new form factor for use
in tablet PCs, laptops and netbooks. The drives come in three sizes: 64GB,
128GB and 256GB.
The first two models are 2.2mm thick, or 42 percent thinner than
the previous generation. The 256GB version is 3.7mm thick. All are rated for 1
million hours of operation before failure.
Batch pricing and availability were not released.
