IRVINE, CALIF. –
After months of keeping
the details under
wraps, Toshiba has
finally released the
final specs and shipping
details on its
tablet PC.
The Toshiba Thrive
will start shipping at
the end of July with
pre-orders starting as early as next week, according
to reports on the web.
Three models are expected to hit the street, 8GB
for $429, 16B for $479 and 32GB for $579.
The unit runs the Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, is
powered by an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor,
has a 10.1-inch display, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, 2-megapixel
front and 5-megapixel rear-facing camera,
USB, Mini USB and HDMI ports, GPS and has a
user replaceable battery.
