Concord, Mass. – TomTom is offering two new versions
of its portable navigation devices (PNDs) for Black Friday, exclusively at Walmart
at $59 and $89, it said.
Heading into Black Friday, the lowest-priced TomTom PND has been
the One 125 at $119 suggested retail. A
new version called the One 125 SE will be offered at half the price, exclusively
at Walmart, bearing a 3.5-inch touchscreen with preloaded maps of the U.S., spoken
street names, millions of points of interest and a foldable mount. A second
unit, the TomTom XL 325 SE, offering similar features but with a 4.3-inch screen,
will also be offered exclusively at Walmart for $89. Both become available at 5:00
a.m. Friday, Nov. 27.
The two PNDs also include TomTom map-share technology that lets
users update maps and share map changes. Both can also work with an optional
RDS-TMC traffic receiver.
Last year, TomTom’s lowest-price
PND during Black Friday sold at $99 suggested retail, said TomTom.
