Concord, Mass. – TomTom
launched the VIA 1605 TM on Wednesday, a portable navigation device (PND) with
a 6-inch screen.
The PND comes with lifetime
traffic and map updates. It has a
fold-and-go EasyPort mount that lets it be positioned on either the windshield
or the dash, and the device orients the display with a flip-screen feature.
According to the
device’s listing on
, it comes with maps of the
United States, Canada and Puerto Rico; TomTom’s 24/7 roadside assistance; and
Advanced Lane Guidance, which displays the correct lane to drive in.
It will ship later this
month for $229.
