TeleType GPS Company is displaying its new WorldNav 7100 here in the North Hall, booth 6518.
The product is a portable touch -screen navigation system with preinstalled street-level maps designed specifically for truck routing for the entire United States, including Puerto Rico. It offers door-to-door GPS guidance with text-to-speech instructions including pronunciation of street names.
In addition to offering truckers mapping information, the WorldNav 7100 helps them to carry music, videos and pictures.
The product weighs 14 ounces and it offers an extensive database containing information on more than 12 million businesses and points of interest. It features auto complete for entering states, cities and streets for minimal keystrokes.
Users are led by “natural-sounding voices” for turn-by-turn guidance along the route.
The product has a high-resolution 7-inch touch screen and comes with a windshield mount that can be moved from one vehicle to another. Other features include automatic reroute, 3D/2D view, pan, zoom and day/night mode functions.
