TechXNY Debuts In New Time Slot Tomorrow In NYC

Business-to-business technology show TechXNY will tryout its new time slot this week when the show opens at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, here, Sept. 16 to 18.

The show, previously held in mid-June, will host about 45,000 attendees with the exhibition portion of the event containing around 200 companies, according to the list available on the TechXNY Web site. The show’s focus has shifted on business-to-business products, with Samsung and Toshiba being the notable consumer-device suppliers attending.

Samsung will show the 17-inch SyncMaster 173P LCD, geared toward the high-end PC consumer, and three other models in the 15-inch, 17-inch and 24-inch screen sizes for the enterprise market. The 173P will ship in October with a $549 street price. Pricing and ship dates on the other products were unavailable.

Toshiba’s computer systems group, which handles all the company’s consumer and business notebook computers, and its storage division will be on the floor at TechX. Other companies exhibiting are chip maker AMD, Belkin, Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi Global Storage, Lexmark and Microsoft.
