Targus Intros New Product, Technologies

Portable storage bag and case maker Targus is offering a new ladies case line at CES. The four cases are designed to “incorporate particular style and functionality that women will appreciate,” according to the Anaheim, Calif.-based company.

Targus, which is exhibiting several new technologies, as well as products, is featuring its Dome Protection System that marks the “industry’s first-ever sidewall impact notebook protection, providing up to 350 percent more protection than other standard cases,” said Targus.

In camera cases and accessories, Targus is adding camera accessories to its 2005 product lineup and plans to expand its existing case offerings.

In notebook accessories, the company is showing and demonstrating several new products, including power, connectivity, security, storage, Bluetooth, mice/presenters, keyboards/keypads and workspace enhancement.

One new product is the Targus Jackie Leather Tote, a top-loading notebook carrying case that is packed with features and still provides protection, convenience and organization. The 15-inch-screen-size case, at $149.99 suggested retail, can be purchased in either black or red leather. It includes a padded notebook compartment, adjustable strap, long rolled handles and five steel feet. The interior contains cellphone and PDA pockets, business card holders, pen loops and a file folder section.
