Anaheim, Calif. — Targus launched its first foray into the iPhone accessories market with three cases for the new iPhone 5: the Targus Wallet case, Slim Fit case and Slider case.
The Wallet case features an external pocket on the back for an ID and credit card. It comes in stain-resistant faux leather in black, French Blue and Merlot, retailing for $39.99.
Targus’ Slider case is polycarbonate and TPU sleeve with proprietary Compression Fit technology to protect the phone from drops and knocks. An added interior bumper dampens shock and the face of the case is slightly raised to protect the screen from scratches when placed screen down. It comes in black, French Blue and Poppy Red with a suggested retail of $34.99.
The new Slim Fit case is precision-cut for the iPhone 5, with cutouts for easy access to all buttons and ports without obstructing the camera lens. A soft True Grip bumper provides grip without adding bulk, the company said. Polycarbonate and TPU material provides shock absorbency. It is available in six colors: black, French Blue, Poppy Red, Pearl Gray, Olive Branch and Merlot, retailing for $24.99.
