Minneapolis – Target has added Barnes and Noble’s Nook to
its e-reader assortment.
The discount chain began carrying Nook Color and Simple
Touch models and accessories yesterday.
Target joins a growing list of Nook dealers including Best
Buy, Books-A-Million, Fred Meyer, Office Max, P.C. Richard & Sons, RadioShack,
Staples and Walmart, as well as Barnes & Noble.
Target also carries Amazon.com’s Kindle, as well as
e-readers by Aluratek, Kobo, Pandigital, iRiver and Sony.
“We are excited to bring our award-winning devices to Target
as we expand the retail locations where people can purchase Nook,” said Chris
Peifer, digital business development VP at Barnes & Noble.
