Target.com President Departs

Minneapolis – Former Target CE chief Steve Eastman has
stepped down as president of Target.com.

The discounter said he “left to pursue other opportunities”
but did not name a successor.

Eastman’s exit comes as Target, and all retailers, enter the
all-important holiday selling season, and follows a major revamp of the
company’s e-commerce site and infrastructure in August.

His departure also follows that of chief marketing officer
Michael Francis, who left the company earlier this month for the president’s
post at JCPenney.

Eastman joined Target in 1982 and ran the discounter’s CE,
books and music business prior to his promotion to e-commerce president in
2008.
