Minneapolis — Target and Kodak will partner to offer a co-branded photo Web service, the companies said today.
The deal involves a pair of co-branded sites: http://targetphoto.kodakgallery.com/ and www.target.com/photo, which will launch on May 30. Kodak Gallery members can order prints online and pick them up in Target stores or have images archived to a picture CD with a link back to the co-branded site.
Target will also bring a selection of Kodak Gallery merchandise in-store in the fall, alongside prepaid cards for buying merchandise online.
Target recently completed a similar deal with Shutterfly, offering a co-branded Web page and providing a Shutterfly link on www.target.com/photo (Kodak will also be featured on the page). Target is also selling Shutterfly prepaid cards and demonstrating its photo merchandise in-store.
The Web deal with Target is Kodak’s second major announcement in recent weeks. In April the company announced a co-branded page with CE retail chain Best Buy.
