T-Mobile Adds 2 PCD Products

Bellevue, Wash. – T-Mobile launched its second 3G/Wi-Fi USB modem and a new touchscreen multimedia phone,
both from PCD.

The new 3G modem, the WebConnect Jet, joins the WebConnect USB Laptop Stick, both with U.S.-band 7.2Mbps HSPA
3G and quadband EDGE. Both feature
international EDGE roaming, but the
USB Laptop Stick adds
international HSPA roaming. Both also feature USB
connector that rotates 270 degrees, MicroSD/SDHC card slot to add up to 8GB of
additional memory to the embedded 128MB flash memory, SMS capability and embedded
WebConnect Manager software. The software launches on a laptop to automatically
find the best available wireless network, whether T-Mobile’s 3G network, a
Wi-Fi network, or one of T-Mobile’s more than 10,000 Wi-Fi hot spots.

The WebConnect Jet, manufactured
by Huawei but marketed by PCD, is free with two-year data contract, and
the Laptop Stick costs $49.99 with two-year contract. The Jet is available in
T-Mobile stores, the carrier’s other direct channels, and select indirect
retailers, including RadioShack.

Available data plans cost $29.99 and $49.99/month for 200MB and
5GB of usage, respectively.

The 3G Tap touchscreen
phone is available at $79.99 after mail-in rebate with two-year service
agreement. The phone, which lacks hard keyboard, features 2.8-inch touchscreen,
instant-messaging clients,
personal email access, 2-megapixel camera with video capture, assisted GPS for TeleNav location-based services, stereo
Bluetooth and A/V player. It’s available in Berry and Midnight Blue.
