Cupertino, Calif. — Symantec today announced three partnerships that will deliver its Norton computer security software in new ways to consumers.
Norton Security Scan will be offered to anyone downloading Adobe’s Shockwave Player. Norton Internet Security will be sold as an electronic download through ING Direct The final offer has Symantec giving white-box PC builders, through a deal with Intel, the opportunity to pre-install Norton 360 on their systems and then offer their customers a 90-free trial of the software.
The company said pricing varies per agreement; however, in each case, end users who convert to a full subscription may do so at a discounted price.
