New York — CBS said it will sell video downloads of its popular “Survivor” reality TV series from its CBS.com Web site following the new season’s premiere, Feb. 2.
The announcement was a change from the network’s previously established practice of selling downloads of select programs, including “CSI,” through Google Video.
CBS will charge $1.99 per download for the “Survivor” series. Viewers will have a 24-hour window after purchase to playback each program. CBS.com said it will offer the programs on the Web through June 2006.
