San Diego – The Global Warranty and Service Contract Association (GWSCA), an industry trade group, named Sub-Zero its Excellence in Warranty winner for 2014.
The premium majap maker earned the honor for its industry leadership in implementing warranty best practices. By detecting issues earlier, resolving them faster and feeding that information into the design process, Sub-Zero has reduced warranty rates by 44 percent over the past seven years and is consistently rated highest in customer satisfaction by independent surveys, GWSCA said.
In addition, Seagate Technology and Fulcrum Analytics were named Innovation in Service Contract award winners for bringing an innovative new data recovery service contract, Seagate Rescue Plans, to the mass market via such retailers as Amazon.com and Staples.
Separately, the GWSCA board named the Service Contract Industry Council (SCIC), an industry lobbying group, its 2014 Pioneer in Service Contracts for its longstanding contributions to advance the issues facing the service contract industry.
The awards were announced earlier this month at the annual Warranty Chain Management Conference, held here at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina.
