Sub-Zero’s Sikir Succeeds Scaglione On AHAM Board

Washington – Paul Sikir, design engineering VP of Sub-Zero, was elected board chairman of the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), succeeding former Sharp exec Bob Scaglione.

Sikir was tapped in a special election to fill Scaglione’s unexpired two-year term. Scaglione resigned from the trade group’s board after Sharp eliminated his chief marketing officer position in July, along with the company’s entire U.S. marketing and communications department.

Jennifer Mintman, GE Appliances’ general manager of consumer home services, succeeded Sikir as first vice chair and will continue as AHAM treasurer.  In turn, D. Jeffrey Noel, Whirlpool’s corporate VP, communications and public affairs, succeeded Mintman as second vice chair.

All three board members’ terms will run through spring 2014.
