Dallas — Starpower, a four-store dealer and custom installer of premium and ultra-premium A/V and appliances, will hold its first customer Expo of the year this weekend.
The three-day event, running March 7-9, will again be held at the company’s recently remodeled flagship showroom in North Dallas, where more than 50 manufacturers will demo their wares. Participating CE vendors will include Bose, Epson, JBL, Klipsch, MartinLogan, Polk, Samsung, Sonos and Sony, while majap representatives will include Sub-Zero, Thermador and Viking.
Live demos will feature the latest Ultra HD panels, Polk wireless speakers, and Sub-Zero’s new 30-inch integrated refrigerator and freezer columns, and chefs from Alfresco, Sub-Zero/Wolf, Thermador and Viking will prepare gourmet dishes for customers to sample while they shop special Expo deals on TVs, appliances, furniture and other products.
In addition, there will be special appearances by past and present Dallas Cowboys Tony Dorsett and Terrance Williams and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and customers who spend $1,500 or more on CE will receive a pair of platinum-level tickets to a Dallas Mavericks home game, the company said.
Starpower, a multiyear winner of TWICE’s Excellence In Retailing Awards, said it will close its two other Dallas-area stores for the event, which typically draws thousands of customers from as far as hundreds of miles away. Its last Expo was held in November.
