Starpower To Hold Charity Golf Tourney

Prosper, Texas — Starpower, the Dallas-based specialty A/V chain known for its luxury installations and celebrity clientele, will return to the Gentle Creek Golf Club here Sept. 15 for its annual VIP Invitational Golf Tournament.

This year’s charity event will benefit the Roy Williams Starpower Team Foundation and the Brandon Bass Reach Back Foundation, which provides free basketball camps for underprivileged youngsters. Bass, who plays forward for the Dallas Mavericks, is slated to be on hand along with other pro athletes.

Prizes for contestants will include a 56-inch rear-projection HDTV and two opportunities to win $10,000 by hitting a hole-in-one.

The three-store chain, which plans to

expand into Arizona

this fall, is owned and operated by brothers Daniel and David Pidgeon. David also sits on the board of the Home Entertainment Source (HES) buying group.
